@bronze2 thanks for the link. It doesn’t mention IS vs. OOS. Anyone know that breakdown? Must be very low for OOS.
@collegemomjam – there was another link within that article that gave this breakout for applications/admissions:
North Carolina 13,909 5,690 (40.9%)
Out-of-state 29,563 3,829 (13.0%)
Total** 43,472 9,519 (21.9%)
And remember, of course, that alumni get extra weight in the OOS category. I used to have the fall '17 breakout but must have thrown it away. The comparative number of OOS alumni is small, but IIRC the acceptance rate was something in the neighborhood of 40-50%, so I’d guess that non-alumni OOS acceptance rate is less than 12%.

^Just for accuracy Duke was 6.4% regular decision and total 8.3%. Not sure about others accuracy.
BC’s 27% was their overall rate for the year.
@BorgityBorg thanks for UNC stats. Any idea if siblings count for legacy at UNC? I doubt it but just wondering. Thanks!
@swantutorsonline Vanderbilt - 7.3%acceptance rate is for their RD pool only. Overall acceptance rate was somewhat higher because of an approx 20% rate for ED. The table is somewhat misleading.
Here is a summary so far for Class of 2022 … welcome any additions or corrections.
- Missing data from Caltech, Cooper Union, Wake Forest, Grinnell, Bucknell, Smith, which have admit rates below 30% (or likely to have).
- Vanderbilt is an estimate from composite ED and RD data.
- Some schools gave admit rates and not actual number of admits, so the Admits number is derived.
- Data are from releases given at different times - early releases will not include waitlist acceptance figures (e.g., Stanford originally announced 2040 admits on March 30, and the current class profile says 2071 admits).

@bronze2 I’m pretty sure many of the above are labeled wrong in that what is being called “ED” or “ED1 and ED2” rates are actually the total admission rates, not just ED. So it’s the RD+ED rates" not just ED or RD. Almost all the LAC’s I scanned had this mistake. Others may as well.
Numbers are for overall, not EA.

Not very precise I realize and doesn’t include waitlist admits, if any.
@Ynotgo On its website, Caltech states there are 8208 applicants for the class of 2022. http://www.caltech.edu/content/caltech-glance
@citivas @sushiritto the labels following colleges are the admission plans they offer (in addition to RD). some schools such as the UC campuses offer neither EA nor ED and so they have no label. The labels are not associated with the numerical data. The data are meant to include overalll admission numbers for this year. My apologies for not making this clear.
@collegemomjam For obvious reasons, I was focused on legacy status accruing to children of alumni. But I looked quickly, and it’s only conferred on parents or stepparents – siblings, grandparents, or other extended family are specifically excluded.
Thanks @BorgityBorg, that’s what I thought.

Anyone have stats on admission prediction ED for GW?
