<p>OK. I have a 3.5 gpa, 32 act and a lot of EC's, and hopefully a good essay. I am African American, first in my family, to go to college if that helps. My family is poverty stricken. Do I have any chance at UC's? Thank You in advance!!</p>
<p>Great ACT score, that will really help. I think you’ve got a solid shot at UCM and UCSC and maybe UCR. The others will be a stretch.</p>
<p>Depending on your objective, I’d encourage you to look at some CSUs (and perhaps privates) as well.</p>
