So anyway I am now looking for possible colleges and was hoping I could get some help on this site. Some of my favorites as of now are:

University of Michigan
University of Notre Dame
Penn
Yale
Princeton
Stanford
Cal-Berkeley
University of Chicago
Johns Hopkins
Georgetown
University of Virginia
Cornell
Virginia Tech

This is just a list of me brainstorming some colleges of interest to me. Do you think I have the credentials to be accepted into any of these? What about the Ivy Leaguers. Am I good enough for them? Finally, I you have any other colleges that may work for me, please recommend them. Thanks!

No I don’t think you stand a chance. You haven’t done enough extra curricular and you need more community service. Also … only a 4.6?! Are you kidding me! They only take 5.0+ seriously!

hides Just kidding man. From the looks of things, you forgot to add:
*walking on water

into your extracurricular activities list.

I don’t see you having any problems whatsoever getting into any of those colleges. :)

your resume is great but a lot of the time, colleges have inexplicable reasons for rejecting students. My friend was valedictorian at another extremely competitive school district and although she got accepted to U Chicago, all the ivies rejected her. she had a ton of consistent ECs and everything else too. I recommend getting your SAT to 2300, other than that i don’t see any knocks. props dude

Heres what I think.

University of Michigan - match
University of Notre Dame - match
Penn - reach (low)
Yale - reach
Princeton - reach
Stanford - reach
Cal-Berkeley - OOS or instate (in*)
University of Chicago - high match - low reach (depending on essays)
Johns Hopkins - low reach
Georgetown - high match
University of Virginia - match
Cornell- low reach
Virginia Tech - safety

Despite the idea the Cal is accepting less students due to budget cuts, they’re probably going to accept you since you will have to pay higher tution cost. Most UCs are probably going to do that. If I were you, don’t go to Cal if you get accepted, unless you get a full ride or something. The budget crises is pretty bad.

Also, don’t retake your SATs. You’re ok with those scores and your chances won’t dramatically go up if you enter the 2300s. The problem with CC is that in almost every chance thread, the main issue affecting your chances to schools is the SAT. Now, if you were applying to high caliber schools with SATs under the 2000s, then yeah I understand. But a score like yours should be fine.

Good Luck!

Hey thanks for all of the speedy replies and I appreciate your insight.
