<p>i have most recently been accepted to Ithaca College, and was waiting on University of Maryland College Park, and was wondering based on this acceptence anyone would be able to come up with a guess on precentage of accpetence to maryland. WHAT DO YOU THINK MY CHANCES ARE FOR UNIVERSITY OF MARYLAND - COLLEGE PARK. I've heard that ithaca can be very competitive in the addmission process, and was wondering if getting in their would lead to other conclusions on other colleges im waiting to hear back from. Thanks.</p>

SAT II: Math - 590 Lit: 620
RECS: GREAT
ESSAY: EXCELLENT</p>

<p>A few AP classes: Calculus, Humanities</p>

<p>Extras:
4 Years Varsity Basketball (Captain)
4 Years Varsity Soccer (Captain)
4 Years Varsity Lacrosse (Started as Goalie as Soph.)</p>

<p>A ton of other things, from biodynamic gardening for 2 weeks in england, to 80+ hours of community service, plus a ton more.</p>

<p>I like your E.C.'s but I would say it is a small reach for Maryland.</p>

<p>Hahah... I'll give you around a 20-45% shot. It is very hard to predict your chances without further information such as rank, quality of high school, essays written, recommendations given, etc.</p>

<p>Are you in-state for Maryland? If so, I think you have a pretty decent chance.</p>

<p>I agree with AcceptedAlready- about a 30% chance. They say that Maryland isn't big on ECs, and they are your strong point. You do sound like an interesting person and even someone who may bloom in college and get better grades than you have been. Not that they are bad- just pretty mediocre. The recommendations and essay may get you in.</p>

<p>Good luck- I really hope that you get in. Keep in mind- it is easier to get in as a transfer student. They also offer a lot of people January admission- you may find yourself in that dilemma.</p>
