College Confidential on urban dictionary

LOLOL. I have to say, the first two are scarily accurate. Did they copy-paste those? ;)

Urban dictionary is very entertaining. Take a look at the definitions for High School [Urban Dictionary: High School](Urban Dictionary: High school) and CollegeBoard
[Urban Dictionary: college board](Urban Dictionary: College Board)

Fortunately, most posters here can laugh at themselves. Some, however, seem to be wound a bit too tight and go postal when some well meaning poster, many with a reasonable amount of knowledge and experience, tells someone what they don’t want to hear, but is likely the truth - e.g. " you have a 3.5 weighted GPA, 1900 SATs and belong to the 4H club, and you want to know what your chances are at Harvard, Yale and Brown? Good luck with that one".

Why come here if you don’t want to hear feedback and only want to yell at or mock posters who answer these questions honestly? Really.

lol, that’s just silly. qq

Asking high school students for your chances of getting into some college is a waste of time?! You don’t say.

Someone wanting to get into harvard or yale would be doing something better than coming on a site full of fake profiles and disgruntled parents.

That person would be doing volunteer work or some extra curricular activity.

“then I thought about it and realized that the people on here are probably in the top 99% of the population… so I didn’t feel so bad.”

Doubt it, I bet 99 percent of the posters here over-inflate their statistics.

Those definitions pretty much summarize how I feel about this website. It’s kind of a love/hate relationship. I can’t get off CollegeConfidential. It’s freaking addictive, especially now as a high school senior.

I wrote an Urban Dictionary definition for my high school, and it got published. Sometimes I hear people say stuff at school like “have you seen what people have written under our school on Urban Dictionary?” And then I laugh and feel cool, because they have no idea that I wrote one of those definitions. :)

Sorry for the massive bump, but I had to revive this thread because I just read the last definition and thought it was interesting/different. Do you think this guy’s just a genius ■■■■■, or do you think he genuinely believes what he is saying? do you think he’s wrong or right?
