<p>Truman State's admission essay prompt states "Please write about a topic important to you". </p>

<p>This past year, I started a club at school called Redefining Beautiful, which aims to improve girls' self-esteem through service. I wanted to write about how my passion to change society's views on beauty and improve how girls feel about themselves has fueled me to create this club and impact my school.</p>

<p>Go a little more personal - what made you want to ‘change society’s view’ ? Did you experience something negative personally that made you think - wait a minute, this is not acceptable? It’s a great topic to write on - and I’m sure you’ll do well! Good luck!</p>
