College Experience at UTSA

I'm a sophomore in high school (please don't judge me for wanting college information, I just like to be 10 steps ahead)... I live in San Antonio, TX. I had dreams of going to UCSB for the great academics and great college experience, but that won't happen due to the $$$. I have decided that it is just a smarter decision to go to college in state, disregarding how much I really hate it here. I wanted to go to UT but my chances at being in the top 8-6% of my class are slim to none thanks to my extremely low grades of freshmen year.(not to worry, I have straight A's now and am over the shock of high school.) so i THINK that UTSA is the best option for me. I have been to the apartments around the campus because my cousin currently attends there, and also my mo went there before going to law school, and I have an uncle who went there as well (I guess UTSA is just in my blood lol.) basically I have a few questions about UTSA, and please do not criticize me if these questions have been answered in other threads because I find that other threads are outdated, especially considering the rapid growth UTSA has shown in recent years.(right?)

Is UTSA a good school? I know that the people there aren't super geniuses but I really want to go to medical school and I don't know if UTSA is a good college to graduate from for that to happen.

-Is it fun? I was born in San Antonio and raised in San Antonio, and I would much rather be in Cali right now, so if I'm going to go to a school here I want to at least have a good time.

-Is it "ghetto"?(excused expression)
I've heard a lot about UTSA being mostly Hispanic, (I'm Hispanic)and everyone says that you just see a bunch of "cholos"(if you know what that is.)

-How much debt would I have after graduating with a Bachelor's degree?
I know that UTSA isn't that expensive but I'd like to minimize costs as well as NOT live with my parents.

-Is it a good idea to transfer to UT after 2 years like everyone recommends?
My mother and uncle both took this route, they transferred to UT after 2 years of being at UTSA. Do you think this is a wise decision? Will medical schools think that I am indecisive?

Thank you for reading all that if you've made it this far, and thank you much to whoever answers these as I know that it is your time that you are using on me... My apologies for any etiquette issues displayed._. Haven't been on here in forever and just want some assurance.

Also, please do not recommend to see the college consultant/counselors at my high school if I want information. I did, and they are 0 help at all. Again, much thanks:)
