College fashion

"Yeah, it is. And so is porn. So i guess that no one should be surprised if I start making a bunch of threads on it."

Considering that your porn-related forum would be deleted in about 5 minutes by the admins, I would be surprised if I actually stumbled on something like that :)

"Style doesn't differ THAT much by region."

But it does in the transition from high school to college. I wasn't asking if pencil skirts would be fashionable in Boston, was I?

yes to pencil skirts, whatever that is.

It's a knee-length, very tight-fitting skirt with a slit :)

Lots of the female interns in DC wear them.

a slit? on the side? i hope so.
i used to work somewhere around capital hill and never saw those. how can this be?

But it does in the transition from high school to college. I wasn't asking if pencil skirts would be fashionable in Boston, was I?

I thought that you said something about region, but I reread your post and realized that I was wrong. But I still agree with the rest of what I said.

a slit? on the side? i hope so.

Nah, it's generally on the back

oh, thats skanky. i like.

"One thing never to do, ever. Collar popping (single collar or double shirt popping), fishnets, extremely tiny skirts, jeans, or shorts where I can see your butt crack (its okay if you were underwear). I honestly hate girls who show their buttcracks, no matter how hot they are."

I agree with most of this but I love fishnets, especially under destroyed jeans in the winter. Lacy black tights are cool too, in my opinion.

Wear whatever you want; I personally admire what your style sounds like. It's always nice to see a girl who dresses up and looks pretty. Feel free to rock the heels and look fashionable ;)

okgirl, you have to learn how to dance in them for your future job, better learn now.
Dang, maybe I should consider a career change since I can't dance either.

You have to find heels that you are comfy in. Wedges are probably the easiest to walk in, but it all depends on the fit of the shoe.
I have a pair of heals that actually are comfy (gasp!), but I just walk like a hooker in them. My walk is even worse in wedges. Some girl was trying to teach me something about bending knees and heel/toe/whatever steps down first, but I was totally out of it. One of these days I'll have to figure it out.

a pencil skirt is also high waisted...it sits on your true waist as opposed to the hips.

okgirl, if you didnt get it i was talking about you being a stripper

pencil skirt--adorable:

Yo comprende. I could never be one because I can't dance, walk in heels, or gracefully take off clothing, BUT if I could I would consider it (short term) to help pay for college or a Mercedes. I could work at Hooters with no problem, but stripping isn't for me.

Speaking of Hooters, the snow cone guy gave me one for free today after he stared at my boobs the whole time. I've learned that a low cut shirt=free stuff and lots of help.

leah, I love pencil skirts, but I don't like the scrunchy stuff on that one. I totally need to go shopping.

i'm jealous :(

not to sound too slooty but i'm not a fan of pencil skirts. Nothing beats an Abercrombie mini skirt, my fave for 6+ years now.

I like how pencil skirts look on other people, but I don't feel very comfortable wearing them. The ones in the link look a little too tight... And I can't walk very fast in a pencil skirt.

nyuwishabee: pencil skirts are easier to pull off. they are also more "i'm trying to look sexy without it being obvious or "slooty"".

Yeah I think I would feel a little constricted.

Since we're kind of on the subject, quick opinion, is this dress to risque for my friend's frat formal? BCBGMAXAZRIA - DRESSES: COCKTAIL: SATIN DRESS

^That dress is cute, but I don't really like the last two bands. BCBG has some awesome clothes and I think you could find plenty of other options.
