What a great game! I had no dog in this fight, but Iā€™m glad Utah won.

For the second week in a row, the Washington Huskies benefited from an opposing coachā€™s decision to go for it on 4th down. ASU Sun Devils chose to go for it on 4th down instead of kicking an easy field goal. The result was an interception returned for a touchdown, giving the Huskies their first lead of the game. It was an ugly win for Washington.

Iā€™m not sure why Michigan really wanted to score a TD for Alex Orji in the final 30 seconds of a 49-0 blowout. The Victory formation seemed to be the right thing to do there. :person_shrugging:

The Utah-USC game was a great game to watch. Iā€™m not a USC fan, so Iā€™m very happy they lost.

The current betting odds has Michiganā€™s JJ McCarthy as the leading candidate to win the Heisman trophy, which is interesting, because he hasnā€™t played many 4th Quarters to run up his stats and Michigan is much more of a running team than the rest of of the country.

Why has this thread gone silent?

My team about killed me today, but an ugly win is still a win.

Iā€™ve been bummed since the sign-stealing scandal came to light. Iā€™m a Michigan fan, but I donā€™t like cheaters either.

Penn State played well. Poor UMD, just beaten all around. Glad that students turned out, enjoy Fox coverage, nice weather.

I was apoplectic. In years past, we wouldā€™ve folded so Iā€™m glad that the players kept at it.

Four of my kids flew down to Clemson to visit their sister and enjoy the game, plus my sonā€™s friend, Notre dame graduate, so happy for the win, and that they got to enjoy the atmosphere (and tailgating, bars, partiesā€¦).

is no one talking Michigan scandal? What is an appropriate punishment?

It is clear that they gained a competitive advantage ā€¦ coaches AND athletes benefitted from this. Have heard (anecdotally) there is more evidence that the B10 office has. I know the NCAA process could take a long time, what should the B10 do? (they have different rulesā€¦)

How about we let there be an investigation before we jump to conclusions?

One person looks like they did inappropriate and illegal activities. What we donā€™t know yet is who else is involved.

Due process.

There are many others not in sports who have allegations and indictments but they continue to do their jobs. How about we do the same for Jim Harbaugh?

Iā€™m not sure there is clear evidence that Michigan had a competitive advantage with this one personā€™s actions. Maybe they have good coaching and good recruiting? Plenty of former players play on Sunday.

Tough spot for new Big 10 Commissioner.
I agree Big 10 should do something this season.
ā€œā€œCollectively, the coaches want the Big Ten to act ā€” right now. What are we waiting on? We know what happenedā€, one source with details of the call told ESPNā€™s Thamel.ā€
