For those who are interested, tune in this morning.

Watching them on ESPNU in T-town! Crowd is loud…I hope they are loud at the game. RTR!

Well I missed that, what time is the game? Is it on espn? Do they show any of the campus/tailgate with the coverage usually?

It’s still on. on ESPN proper now.

The game is on at 6 pm, Central time, and will be televised nationally, I believe on ESPN.

Excitement is high in our household for this game. My husband and I are Penn State grads and as soon as S decided on Alabama in April H started making plans to go to this game. Fortunately our neighbor here in Connecticut is the ESPN college football producer and he came through with a ticket for H, saving us a few hundred dollars. When H called this morning he was tailgating in the parking lot with Penn State fans and planning to meet S at 11:00 to head over to the ESPN trucks for an inside tour from our neighbor. I’m really wishing I was there too!

my DD and her roomie were on tv.

: )

glad to see they are having a good time!

Oh, sabres, how awesome! We just texted son to get out of his room and GET ON DOWN TO THE QUAD! Looks like so much fun! He doesn’t have a ticket to the game, but looks like it will be fun just hanging out on the quad with the tailgaters all day. We had the best time with that last weekend!

Seeing as how the show began at 4am here in the tropics, I recorded it on the DVR. Looking forward to finding your smiling daughter, Mike. Roll Tide (!!) and God bless Penn State’s Joe Paterno, one of the truly good guys in college athletics.

D went down to the Walk of Champions at 4:30am! Yikes! Saw her sign but not her face.

^^^What did her sign say, Rob?

Montegut, the tailgaters made the biggest impression on S, too. His first Bama game paled in comparison to his amazement at the tailgaters…flat screen TVs and satellite dishes on the Quad?! He’d never seen anything like it. Just glad that my non-athletic S went to the game!

Hi, Sophocles! Was wondering which package your son had. We just loved meeting all the tailgaters and checking out their setups. Not only loved the generators, the outlets, the satellite dishes, and flat screen TVs, but really want to play some of the tailgating games. Loved all the homemade cornhole setups. Son and dad love to build things, and hopefully, this will be a Christmas break project. Some people had tailgate golf as well, bought from Academy Sports. Some mom and pop tshirt stands added to son’s wardrobe. Definitely a fun atmosphere for those who do not like football. Just go out and have a good time, even if you don’t have a ticket to the game!
And the food vendors were good as well. Got some really spicy jambalaya from a Slidell, Louisiana family, and got some yummy appetizers from the Applebees booth. A great family atmosphere! Don’t miss, even if you don’t have a ticket to the game! And the band was awesome!

Hey, Malanai, we DVR’d it too! Watched a little of it before D left to take the ACT. Seeing all that made us even more excited for our visit! So glad we picked a football weekend to be there. Roll Tide!!!

Not to derail the thread, but good luck to your daughter on the ACT! Hope to see you next year at Bama!

Bama game day is definitely infectious! H is still shaking his head that I’m staking out my spot in the living room for the Bama/Penn State game. First and last football game we went to was as students at Penn (vs Columbia) many moons ago. Thanks to Bama, college football is alive and well again in the household!

Thanks, Montegut! We’re really hoping for the magic number that will make Bama a reality for her!! Husband is a life-long Tide fan, so it’s a dream come true for him. He’s thrilled that we’re watching games with him now!!

Son and his friends were there, but off camera. He said the atmosphere was awesome, complete with a Jumbotron and sound system that allowed everyone to see and hear what was being broadcast on TV.

Good luck to your daughter, Rose.

My son went down to take some photos, hope he’ll post as soon as game is over, and hey, he is one the Chest Painters!

Is there any way we can see the halftime show? Heard Kansas was going to be on field with the band. Maybe it will show up on Youtube?

im watching the game. are those vuvzelas i hear?! :D
