<p>Rutgers FTW. Big East Champs this year!</p>
<p>USC, barring a meltdown, will probably win the National Championship, of course, thats the easy pick. I'll probably get flamed by some disgruntled SEC fans (i still think the SEC is the best conference) but USC has to be the top team. I'm a San Jose State fan however, and I really think we can upset Boise State, we've gotten close the past few years, and maybe this year we can do it.</p>
<p>As for Rutgers, I think they have a good squad, they're getting a bit underrated, but I think they are for real.</p>
<p>Pat White is going to be very very exciting to watch.</p>
<p>When he is running the ball, yes. When he actually has to drop back and throw, YIKES!</p>
<p>Obviously I think USC is going wire-to-wire #1 :)</p>
<p>Less clear is the #2. LSU seems to be a favorite, but they lost a lot to the draft, and the SEC (as we're continually reminded) is a pretty strong conference. Florida could possibly repeat in the SEC championship.</p>
<p>It could be a big year for the big east. Louisville, Rutgers, WVa all have potential to be BCS and even appear in the title game.</p>
<p>Nebraska might come up in the BCS discussion as well.</p>
<p>Cal goes 12-1, losing a close one to USC. Convincing win in the Rose Bowl.</p>
<p>Longshore finally lives up to pre-sophomore year expectations, DeSean Jackson has another huge season, but misses out on Heisman voters because kickers avoid him, and Forsett has a breakout season.</p>

<p>Go Bears indeed! That said, we did lose a lot of our defense (and I mean a LOT), so I wouldn't be so sure that we're going 11-1 (although it's possible). Anyway, expect big things from USC this year...dur.</p>

<p>UM will lose the big game, @ Wisconsin. Three way tie for Big 10/11--PSU, Wisco, UM.</p>
<p>Michigan's D-line has to prove it can stop the run (something that even last year's set of draftees had trouble with from time to time). Losing that amount of talent is never easy to replace. But obviously their offense should hum.</p>
<p>If it was all about talent, then USC should run away with it. But it's not. My Huskers have a legitimate shot in 2.5 weeks in Lincoln (a game which I'll be at!). The team always plays alot better at home, and you can mark it down that there will be no conservative play calling like there was last year. USC having pretty unproven talent at the WR and RB position helps. </p>
<p>Do yourselves a favor a look for the youtube clip of Pat White making fun of Pitt's panther growl sound of effect. Probably the funniest thing you'll see all week. It's titled something like "Pat White is unimpressed with your growling"</p>
<p>Rutgers is not going to be as good as they were last year. Same thing with Wake Forest. Both those teams got nearly every bounce to go their way last year to set up they're impressive runs. That won't happen two years in row. Both will probably continue to be better than they've been traditionally, but they aren't anywhere near the elites. It's only a matter of time before Schiano and Grobe get lured to bigger schools, and then both schools will likely return to their also-ran status.</p>
<p>It's most definitely Vanderbilt's time to shine ;)</p>

<p>I'd be happy if Stanford won ONE game. I'd be thrilled if they won two. uhh ya. but Jim Harbaugh has really stepped up recruiting and I am genuinely excited for the future of this program. We got QB Andrew Luck 6th rated QB in the country coming to us in '08!!</p>

Mark May: Can I jump in here? Let's not forget that USC beat that Vanderbilt team by 37 points in a hypothetical game that I went through in my head last night. That's an important fact to consider.

<p>South Carolina is on the rise. They only lost to Florida by 1 last year. Too bad they rejected some recruits though for academic reasons even though they qualified.</p>
