College Freshman applicant with dual enrollment credits

I am currently a junior in high school taking 3 dual enrollment courses per semester (3 credit hours per course). So, that means I will have 18 credit hours by the end of this school year. My question regards applying for colleges; I am looking to go to a college in Florida (I am a Florida resident). Will I have to apply as a transfer student or as a freshman?

Also, will I still be eligible for Florida Bright futures and Freshman Automatic Merit Based scholarships for the college I am applying to?

-I am looking to apply to USF, UNF, FSU, UF, University of Miami, UCF, etc.

If you take college courses while in HS, you would apply as a Freshman.

Would I still be eligible for freshman based scholarships? @Gumbymom

If you are applying as a Freshman, you should be eligible for Freshman scholarships.

FYI: You can also take 9 credits during the Summer Term(s), giving you up to 27 credits by the end of the Summer Term. You also have the option in Florida to spend your entire senior year, taking college credits at one of your local State (Community) College. I think you can take up to 18 credits per semester. You could potentially complete 60 credits by the end of your senior year, where your tuition, fees and books are all paid for by your local school board/state/state college (essentially a free 2-year scholarship). Make sure you pick your courses wisely and they match up well with your chosen major at one of the 4-year institutions listed above.
