College Ideas for Finance Major

Hi, I am currently a junior and trying to examine all my college options. I am maintaining no lower than a B in all Honors/AP course and I intend on majoring in finance. My unweighted GPA is a 3.72 and my weighted GPA is a 4.59. I received a 30 on the ACT and hoping to improve to at least a 31/32. What universities should I consider?

What is your home state? You may have good options there. And do you need financial aid or merit aid?

Indiana is very good. Ohio State. Miami’s Farmer School is very good. Wisconsin.

My home state is Florida and financial aid is certainly welcome.

UF is a great instate option. Depending on budget there are many good options, but UF will be hard to beat for the price.

UF is the best in-state b-school. Besides your intention to major in finance - do you have any other preferences? Maybe which region of the US you’d like to be in?
Have your parents set a budget (if not, make sure to talk to them about it)
Do you want to be in a city, near cities, or is rural or suburban ok?

Definitely would like to be on the east coast or central US and nowhere super expensive with poor financial aid such as NYU.

Penn State?

Elon, Richmond, Fordham, Villanova

Finance and accounting are two of the strengths of UF’s business school. To find a better option than UF with in-state tuition, you would have to get into a much higher ranked IB target school. Here is a list:

These schools would be difficult with your stats, not to mention very expensive without need based aid.

@Alexsan2000 If you could discuss it with your parents and get a specific budget they can pay per year we can be more accurate with our recommendations.
