Hey guys!
I'm a junior in California and I was wondering when is a good time to do college interviews. I will be touring a lot of colleges this summer so should I do them then? Or should I go back and do them while applying for colleges, say early fall?
Thanks in advance!

You need to read each college’s website for their policy on interviews. Some don’t do interviews, others do alumni interviews in your city, others do on campus interviews certain times, etc. It is generally the individual college that dictates when/where interviews are given.

It’d be best to interview during or soon after the college application process. Many interviewers tend to ask questions relating to things you’ll put on your app (i.e. extracurriculars), so you’ll be much more organized and prepared if you’ve already done the written work.

Most colleges will interview you in the summer. I did many interviews in the summer and many in the fall as well. I would disagree with chippedtea, I did interviews at every school I applied to and not one asked me questions about my application because they said the interview was a blank slate and they didn’t want to have any preconceived notions. If you can, I would HIGHLY recommend doing an on-campus interview. I think they are much more valuable admissions wise than alumni ones. Of course some schools only do alumni interviews and other schools, the distance just makes it impossible to get on campus.
