College Laptops

I am looking for a laptop for college, and I was wondering what some good ones are.

Processor: Intel i5/AMD equivalent or better
Weight: Lightweight - under 4 pounds
Battery Life: 4+ hours of actual use
Memory: 4 gigs or better (not quite sure)
Screen size: around 13 inches or less
Hard Drive: SSD
OS: Windows 7
Price Range: Under 1500 (my CD expires soon, so I get 2500... but I really don't wanna blow any more than 1500 on a laptop)

Mainly, I want a laptop that I can use for work stuff, and then be able to play a few lower end games on it (LoL, Halo etc.)

I've come up with two laptops that I like:
Lenovo Thinkpad X220
Acer Aspire Timeline X
I'm really leaning toward the Thinkpad because I heard their build quality is great!

Does anyone wanna vouch for these laptops or suggest new ones?

MacBook Pro 13" and Air if you don’t mind the switch. I think they made halo for mac too. I feel that the Mac software right now is much stronger than Windows. Hardware wise they are incomparable.

Personally, I would recommend an Asus (the UX31E comes to mind). I haven’t used one myself, but I’ve generally heard very good things about Asus reliability, and I know the UX31E is ~3 pounds, 13.3", i7, and about $1100. You can get it with a SATA drive or an SSD, if I am remembering right.

Thinkpads are also solid computers. They’re generally quite reliable and well built, and the X220 has decent specs for the price. I would definitely suggest that over the Acer just because I don’t really trust Acers’ reliability.
