I'm just so enthrolled with Providence, because I visited it and fell in love with it immediately (the dropping of the SAT helped :D), however I'm worried that my heart will get set on this school and if I dont get in with my 3.5 ish GPA I won't know what to do...I have also looked at Seton Hall and Quinnipiac but there's just somtething about Providence. Oh well lol...on to college life...I'm really excited about the transition from Drama School to college! I read lots of threads on here about how work is harder and stuff then the next threat will say what a joke it is...I guess it just depends on the school you go to. Also, would any of you say girls will give guys a break when meeting them (like being nicer and more open since they're in the same boat when college starts)? I'm a Senior this year and everything is coming so fast...what the hell will I do after college? I'll be grown up...I don't like the sound of that lol...well sorry for my new york babble...any response would be appreciated =]

thread* oops

providence is pretty cool its the biggest city in rhode island...providence college is a nice smaller catholic school its administered by the blackfriars...theyve got decent hockey and b-ball teams that are usually competitive too for a smaller school being D1 thats not too bad...and yeah i could see how you would like the place haha...funny thing is i dont think im going to apply there but no doubt its a cool school and in a nice city that isnt too big

uhmm i dunno what you mean giving you a break? lol like what do you mean girls are mean to you now? lol i didnt kinda get that part but i will say this girls round providence and providence college for that matter thes some good lookin girls round there..it seems like attractive girls from CT go to school in rhode island for some reason..so yeah if you kinda clarified what you meant i coulda answered your question better..id say with your 3.5 gpa if you had a 1300 SAT you would most likely get in so i wouldnt stress out too much with your gpa and an sat around there you should be fine.. i would also apply early action

This is somewhat unrelated...but I read your previous thread...and I just have to ask: why do you take such care to mention New York in everything. "My NEW YORK babble", etc? It's in your SN, we know where you're from, yknow? New Yorkers really aren't that different from the rest of the population. Promise. No need to distinguish everything like that.

The difficulty of college will be determined by A- where you go to school, and B- what you major in.

And I don't really understand the other question. If you're asking if girls will be more apt to date you just because you're both freshmen, then no. Newness does not equal desperation (except, perhaps, when alcohol is involved). People will still have standards, whatever those may be, and will decide who they like accordingly. It's not much different than high school, save for more actual sex. Usually. But no, you will still have to earn your keep and shine on your own merits. Don't expect a pity hook up or whatever.

College does not a grown up make. You'll be advanced if you consider yourself an adult at (college) graduation.
