And Emory's seemed to be mailed to a bunch of students (at least 10 on a thread under Emory got the same typed letter*)

You live in Rockville? I'm Gaithersburg! Right next door!
I attend Wootton High School in Rockville...we wouldn't by chance be going to the same HS would we? (WHS had 765 applicants in the last 3 years, 531 admitted*)

Interesting kpphy88,
Viewing your threads, it seems your Ivy focused.
I assume we both have decent scores... most interesting indeed...
(and mines was also from Chemical&Life Sciences*)

In common we have Princeton, Northwestern, Cornell and Brown.
Thank you very much kpphy88! I believe this letter is seriously good news then =)
If it was UMCP's honors v.s. anything except P-ton, I'd prob choose UMCP =D

Wootton is just to dominant. I am most likely going to CP unless i get into UT-austin. maybe i might go to wisconsin but i think if i get into maryland it will be the place i go. 5 more days.

Just posted on UM's undergraduate main page:

"Decision letters for Freshmen Fall 2006 applicants, who met the December 1 application deadline, will be mailed on Friday, February 17th. We are unable to release decisions over the phone. However, beginning Saturday, February 18th, you can access your decision online from this page."

bsbrowser, maybe that's good news! my classmates and i have been checking and we still have the "we are unable to offer a decision for fall 2005..." maybe they mean 2006 and just haven't readjusted the year #? :) one can hope

I told my friend who is basically garanteed in by his 4.7 W Gpa and 32 ACT to try it because i was to scared to try it and he got the that stupid "we are unable to offer a decision for fall 2005" answer and when he saw it it sounded like he was going to have a heart attack. HUUUUh. it was over the phone. I am still laughing. haahaa ****.
