Do online decisions get posted when they MAIL the admission decision? Or does it come up on the expected day of delivery?

i believe it's mail only...

No online. Did you really expect an online decision when they don't even have an online application? lol But mail is before April 1 I believe.

No online decision...mail is fun though!!! You get to camp out at the mailbox.

yeah...I left school 20 minutes early just so I could get to the mailbox...

i remember last year we had AP review at the same time the mail arrived. I RUSHED back home, and was on the phone with another friend that applied too. As soon as I pulled into the driveway, I could see the mail in the box. I pulled it all out and saw the envelope. I ripped it open on my car while talking to my friend, and found out that I got in. Then she arrived at her house, and she got the mail, and I told her to look for a green paper and that means you're in. She opened it and she got accepted too! It was one of the most exciting days ever. We talked for a while and i didn't even go into my house until half an hour later.

That could have been a very bad story if she didn't get in. But you both did so yayy!

yeah i know. actually, another girl from my HS applied(and another guy, he got waitlisted). One of my other friends called this girl and as soon as she picked up, he said "congratulations!"(i have no idea why, he said he was assuming that she got in since two of us did(i don't know what logic he was using)). She asked "for what?", and he said for getting in to georgetown. She said she didn't get in, and she didn't feel like talking about it. I felt SOO bad for her, b/c it was her top choice, she visited campus, etc. Well, she's at Binghamton now and she LOVES it there, and knows it's the place for her, so at least that's great. My other friend that got in goes to the Wharton School at Penn, and she loves it there too, even though it's a lot of work for her, but then, when you go to top schools, you need to expect a larger than average amount of work. Be prepared to work AND have fun.

No green paper for Early Admits this year. It was on a heavy stock paper with the Georgetown logo about it. A gray letter of intent paper was in there too.

what? heavy stock paper? I don't remember that. My letter was just on a piece of paper with the watermark in it, plus a gray sheet.

hey you guys the mcdonough dean and he said they shoudl be sending out acceptances/denials next week.

for all the schools, or just McDonough?

Where did you hear that, intherr?

i emailed the dean a letter and his response was this:

"Thank you for your note. The admissions office should be sending out
information about acceptance and denial beginning next week, I believe."

i think he may just be speaking for mcdonough...considerng he's the dean of mcdonough

manderz1: yeah, the acceptance letter was on the heavier paper (not card stock) with the watermark, seal, and the works.
