college recs

<p>Hi guys- are you allowed to get a recommendation from a prof that didnt teach you a course- but is currently teaching you a course?</p>

<p>yes and even if you are not, they wouldn't know/ or even bother to find out......</p>

<p>Yes, you can get one from a prof who is teaching you right now. I'd be so screwed over if that weren't the case cause I took all lecture classes last term...</p>

<p>but some of the forms ask the prof which course he/she taught you.. what then?</p>

<p>just list the current course he is teaching you.</p>

<p>The only qualm I'd have is the special attention your current prof may pay to your work. He/she may subconsciously raise your standards since they are doing a favor for you, but that's mere speculation on my part...</p>

<p>really...? The professor I got my recommendations from was like... grading me harsher. Even told me in an email that was like, I don't give recommendations out usually so if I do, I want to know that you're a top notch student, ect ect ect</p>

<p>that being said, when I was talking with a person today if they got my recommendation, they just kinda laughed when they read it</p>
