I’m applying for 6 schools as a transfer, and 5 of them only require a college report. So I guessed it’s pretty much like recommendation from the dean. But then, one of the schools requires college report AND recommendation from the dean or academic adviser. What’s the difference between two? I thought a college report was a sort of statistics about my current school + dean’s recommendation. And I’ve never met my dean and I don’t know my academic adviser that well (My school is mid-sized (5000+) and there was no matching major (which is a reason why I’m transferring), so I didn’t consult my major / academic adviser to choose courses, etc.). What should I do? Should I just go to their office and introduce myself and ask for a recommendation? How would they write one if they don’t know me at all? Any thoughts?
Is that Columbia?
^ I was about to ask.
Yes, haha. What did you guys do with those two requirements? Did you know your adviser or dean well enough?
Well we only have a month (or less in fact for requesting) left so there’s pretty much nothing I can do…it’d be a generic one
