hey everybody.. i wud like to know if its possible to give both math 1c and 2c and do colleges consider such an application or wud we come out looking foolish?? thanks.....

nothing wrong with that. just bear in mind that the curve is meaner for matsh 1C.

banedon17... out of literature physics n 1c which has the steepest curve??as these r my 3 options...

You can certainly take both of the math tests. Why not?

However, colleges that ask for 2 SAT subject tests will probably want you take some other subject in addition to the math tests. Two math tests doesn't give them a broad enough idea of what you can do.

well this is my 3rd subject test. im already planmnin 2 give:IIc and chem. for my 3d my options r physics, literature and math 1 c.. any tips??

Lit., if you can score pretty well, so they can see how balanced you are. But it depends on where you want to apply.

show breadth (Lit or history) -- taking two maths is pointless, IMO. If you are completing pre-calc/trig, take Math 2.

ummm.. im not so sure if i wud b able to do lit.. i mean i gav the SAT once and got a 640 on the CR and lil seems to b much much tougher....

im applyin for engineering at:MIT,Stanford,Caltech,CMU,UC BERKLEY,UT AUSTIN,CORNELL,PURDUE,ROCHESTER,U ILLINIOS AT URBANA,GEORGIA TECH

It looks like you are a hard science major, possible engineering type. Forget Math 1.

The UCs will not accept Math 1. MIT, CMU and thier breathren won't look at Math 1 either. Stanford prefers breadth (and Math 2) in the subject test offerings. Good luck.

ok thanks..
any tips for sat 2 lit...?
