College Suggestions?

I am a freshman at a small Baptist college in Northeast Arkansas and I am planning on transferring to a new school for the Fall '09 semester. I would really like to get out of the south and head up north, preferably New England but the Mid-Atlantic region sounds nice as well.

A few things I'm looking for:
1. Smaller school (>5,000 students)
2. Located in the Northeast
3. Strong social sciences departments (Econ., Political Science)
4. Live social scene (Greek life/parties)

In high school, I was not a very good student. I simply got by and didn't really care about school. I finished with a 3.4 and a 29 on my ACT.

In college, however, I have applied myself so far and there is a good chance that I will finish this semester with a 4.0.

Thanks in advance for your help.

check out NESCAC, its a conference of a lot of small northeast colleges. i'm applying to a bunch of them this year

Some other things I desire that I left out:

Strong athletic presence on campus
I don't want a college in a huge city. Looking more for a "bubble" like atmosphere.

Anyone else?

ehh the college your looking for might not exist lol.... at least not on CC, this site is full of 4.0 and 2400 Sat kids.... we know nothing about colleges that aren't top 10 ;) try the NESCAC....

oops just realized i posted the same as the poster above sorry......

A couple of suggestions: Wheaton College (Mass.), Furman (SC)

Colby, Bates, Bowdoin, Trinity (in Hartford).
