College Suggestions!

Hi, I'm currently a junior and I have started looking into colleges. I know that I want to go into advertising. I'm not 100% percent sure what side of advertising I want to go into though. From what I've read a major in communications is a good place to start, so I was wondering what schools have good commuications programs. I've read NYU has a good program and I really like the school, but I doubt I could afford to go there unless I want have a huge pile of debt when I graduate.

I can't lie, I don't have the perfect GPA (freshman year was tough, I had some stuff going on) but I have been on an upward trend and as of now my GPA is in the 3.4/3.5 area.

If you think your stats are an issue for "top" schools, check out some state universities, especially the one(s) in your state. A good basic education in advertising can get you an interview and then maybe a job. Most of your work will be OJT, anyway.

Syracuse? Ithaca?

(One of these days I'm going to figure out what a communications major is. Is it like journalism, advertising, or public relations? Something else?)

Ball State?
Give us some geographical info. Where are you considering?
