College Video Games

Hot girls like playing the Wii.

I looked it up and you do have to pay to play online games on the 360, so ps3 here I come.

You may have to pay on the 360, but from what I’ve read, the 360’s online is much better. Also, games on the PS3 sometimes if they’re multi-platform are glitchy compared to their 360 counterparts.

LOL at the guy who brought up N64, my PS2 stopped working last year but my N64 still works like a pro, love that system!

I’d say don’t bring a video games console to College.

Focus on study, working(A real job), and social activities. I seem to prioritize life in that order and unfortunately(fortunately?) I never seem to have time for option C.

I got Xbox 360. We playing Madden 10 right now. Haha.

A few of my friends at school brought up their N64. They say they’ve found a pretty dedicated super smash bros group.

youofeh- omg I know, NHL 10 is soooo sick. **** COD, I still play NHL 10.

computer or ps3. computers not ideal tho because no Co-OP. ps3 has free online, doesn’t ban you permanently if you add a bigger hard drive besides some rip off brand name one (like m$ does), has WAY less issues (no RROD), better exclusives. 360 has ZERO good exclusive games (halo sucks, if you like it, play killzone 2/resistance 2, 2 ps3 exclusives that kick ass)…and blu ray if you have/get a hdtv. Oh and real 1080P games are nice too. Oh also micro$oft charges you $100 for a wireless adapter, ps3 has a free built in one. Get the ps3.
also you can get n64s with games and controllers on craigslist dirt cheap. i see good deals for like $35 with games and everything you need.
ps3’s only $300, free internet, no need for wireless adapter. So it is the cheaper system. I LOVE MINE!!!
P.S. PS3’s online is just as good as 360’s.

I have a PC, Wii, and 360 – the PC and 360 got the most play though.

360 got banned FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU

Let me put it this way: You’re a college student. Unless you’re from a rich family, you probably would rather spend the money Xbox live charges you monthly on something else.

Besides, Why risk a RRoD?

PS3 pros:
+Blu-Ray
+Free Online
+Lower rates of system failure
+More exclusives than the 360 (Look it up.)

Cons:

 • Initial cost
 • Online community is not as large
 • You’ll be one of few with PS3s in colleges for the most part

Xbox 360 Pros:

 • Initial cost
 • Large online community
 • A lot of people have it

Cons:

 • No blu-ray
 • Monthly online fee
 • System stability issues (RRoD)

For the most part, the RRoD errors are fixed. Also, from what I can tell, the 360 versions of multiplatform games tend to be less buggy.

only slightly on topic but:

Here’s my opinion about consoles, I own a 360 btw.

 • Wii is for casual gamers and fun every once in a while, especially with friends.
 • 360 has a great online community, great games, good price, but terrible durability (Red Ring of Death happens to 60% of consoles). 360 is for hardcore gamers.
 • PS3 has the best hardware, great games, great graphics, good online community. And online is FREE! PS3 is for hardcore gamers.

The system with the best games is a toss up between PS3 and 360. In my opinion the PS3 has slightly better games because I like their exclusives more. For example the 360’s best exclusives are Gears of War, Halo, Mass Effect, Left for Dead, & Fable. The PS3’s best exclusives are Metal Gear Solid, Killzone, Uncharted, Little Big Planet, & inFamous.

In the future, 360 is working on Project Natal which is cool. It’s like the Wii without a controller but it looks too good to be true. The PS3’s future motion controller looks cool also, its like the Wii-mote but for hardcore games.

I’ve had my 360 for 3 years, but I’d recommend the PS3. The PS3 costs more, but it’s a better investment than the 360 because online is free on the PS3. For the 360 online is $8 a month, so the PS3 is the better long term deal. And I think that the PS3’s motion controller is gonna be cooler than the 360’s Project Natal because the motion controller has potential for hardcore games, unlike Project Natal.

PS3 is going to be bigger later on with more exclusives

PS3 has excellent exclusives, but so does the 360. The 360 has excellent multiplayer, but the PS3’s is free. PS3 also has better hardware.

If it was 2005 or 2006 or 2007 I’d say PC because games like Battlefield 2 were huge. BF2 is one of the best games I’ve played honestly. If Battlefield 3 is PC-only and meets or surpasses the excellence of BF2, then I’d say get a PC in addition to whatever console you get.

I just play a few PC games from time to time. I wouldn’t bother getting a video game console, other people will have it, and online play is pretty much just a waste of time.

I bet that StarLeague has the more Korean-populated teams winning. From looking at three teams, seems like there are more Chinese students compared to Koreans. I’m disappointed. :'(
