A poll related to gaming.....

Ok which console is the king of the market
the xbox-360 the ps3 or the nintendo wii

Also, state the reason(s) for ur choice.

You mean the Gameboy Color is out already?

Gameboy color???

Pfffft.

Super Nintendo all the way. Or the original fat game boy if you must.

All are good, but i think the king is xbox 360 because it has a good selection of quality games. I may be biased because I have an xbox 1 (not 360 tho), but I also have a psp. All these new systems are still too expensive for me. I'm having a ton of fun with my xbox 1 for now, with its 200 gb hard drive and a complete media center, and a good collection of cheap used games.

i hear the ps3 is the coolest, but i like the wii, too.

Wii. They're still having trouble keeping them in stock.

"They're still having trouble keeping them in stock."
^ Haha, your funny...

Xbox 360 is evidently the king of gaming consoles today, statistically speaking. Not to mention, Halo 3 has sold 3.3 million copies... earning Microsoft more than $300 million in sales. Its only one of the most sold games in history. The 360 is obviously the king of the market.

Speaking strictly marketwise, the Wii.

In terms of value and all that, I say the PS3. Other than it's plethora of multimedia features, it has some good games right now. The real offers are going to come in 2008 (MGS4, GT5P, home, LBP, etc, etc). The 360 did have a great year but for 08, I dont see much coming out for it (other than GTA4 though it's also on PS3). Everything big was released in 07 (halo, mass effect, etc)

I have the ps3/super nintendo combo, but I wish I had a 360, or maybe just cash equivalent of either. I never have money to buy $60 games or the time to play them.

oh, what's the question? king? 360, I guess.

Wii. It's just so darn fun. Sure, it's got shovelware, but so do the rest, really. On the other hand, some of its games are awesome! And it's cheap.

Atari, ftw

I vote Wii.
a) This is the second holiday season in a row that it's been a ridiculous hit
b) From my observations, it's so much more inclusive than other consoles. It returns gaming to what Atari was meant to be--social. Not to say that your PS3 is for loners, whoops. But seriously, hardcore gamers can play Wii, but so can my mom.

Hmm. I prefered the Nintendo 64 but.. haha!

I've never played a PS3 but, I would say the Wii is King, it has def. dominated sales. I agree with shiftyeyes, because well it sold so much because it isn't just for the hardcore gamers. It's for anyone who can afford it. My little cousins just got one for christmas and had them (7 & 8 years old) to me (16) to my cousin (27) to my uncles (50-60s) to my GRANDMA (80ish) playing it. It's a system that is fun for everyone; including but not limited to the gamers..

Then there is the 360 though, and I'd have to say specifically for gamers; it rocks... I'm not a gamer but just as an observer it rocks. (my brother has one so I see it quite a bit)

Just my $0.02

psh. girls aren't allowed to post in gaming threads.

I still think the only REAL video game is this --> games.atari.com/playgames/arcade/asteroids/asteroids_400.jsp

If you look at NPDs, you'd see that the Wii is the king of the market. Month in and month out it outsells every other console. It is still in a sold-out state, dating back to the launch last year. While this is from Nintendo trying to control the market, it is still impressive. I like PC games, personally, but there is no doubt that Wii sells the best of the 3 you listed.

WII!!!
(10 char)

Wait, you can play Asteroids online?

I thought my life changed when they came out with that Oregon Trail Facebook application!

Ok lemme rephrase the question:
Which one would you buy?(given that u had the cash)

Just use your PC.

Wii. But I hate console anyway.

But I'd rather get a new Intel Yorkfield Quad Core due out early next year and try overclocking it. Also get a new NVidia graphics card with 4G ram.
