I have nothing to contribute to this post, however, at the same time I don’t want to act trollish but I have to ask…How is club and party apparel relavent to a college wardrobe?

Going to parties is what most kids do on the weekends and i was just wondering because I’m not from the north. You don’t have to be rude about it…

I’m from NY So for the most part I know what’s going on fashion wise. I know I’m not really suppose to do this but i am Anyway you can look at my profile on polyvore I have a ton of outfits and I’m sure that you’ll find plenty of ideas and inspiration here you go! You can look around the whole website and find many different users with outfits

I got to school in Upstate NY, so very cold, and yes jeans are common at clubs and parties. Dark jeans(straight or skinny) and a nice top are what most people wear, with a polarfleece or other winter coat. Most clubs and parties up north will have a place for your coat since pretty much everybody will be wearing one.
Some people do wear skirts and dresses in the winter, but usually only if they have a ride to and from the party or club. Being outside for a few mins in a skirt or dress won’t hurt you as long as you have a coat on.

Can’t go wrong with cargo shorts

Black skinny jeans or skirt with tights, cute flowy top and cute shoes/boots. You’re good.

When it’s freezing, you have two choices:

Wear a crappy jacket you don’t care about, you can probably put it somewhere at clubs or put it in a room at parties, but if it’s nice it could definitely get stolen

Get so drunk you don’t feel cold (liquor jacket). Maybe not the healthiest thing but it’s a lot less hassle. I do this every time I go out when it’s cold, and I’m from Florida and I go to school in Wisconsin. Never had much of a problem (you do have to get REALLY drunk though).

Check out collegefashion dot net. The site was founded by someone going to school in the northeast, so there are a lot of posts that involve party clothes in freezing weather.

Remember to layer, layer, layer. As you get hotter in the club, you can peel things off and stash them in your bag/bra.
