I've noticed that in the later practice tests, the book gives you score ranges with a LOT of wiggle room, so I'm not sure how accurate my score is.

Do you guys normally take the median?

Also, I've been taking practice tests every week and my score has not been changing at all (+/- 10 points at the most). I'm taking the October test and my goal is 2300+, but I keep ranging from 2290-2310 at best. It's so borderline that it makes me feel anxious..

I haven't perfected any of the subjects (still missing one or two on math/writing) and I'm just really worried. Any tips for that last-minute boost? :(

Don’t stress out- your practice scores are amazing, and all you can do now is carry the momentum into the actual test day. See what it is you’re getting wrong (doesn’t seem like much at this point). But don’t beat yourself up or lose sleep over this. I highly doubt that any school is going to put more importance in a standardized test over your 4 yr. HS transcript.

Your goal is 2300 and your practices are 2290-2310 and you’re worried? I’m sorry…?

What was your average score on the first three tests? That would be a better indicator, even though the medians of the ranges for tests 4-10 are still pretty good.

@tutordhaus: most of my individual scores have been in the high 2200s, and I’m desperate to get that 2300. I’m worried that I’ll do worse on the actual due to nerves, so I’d feel much safer if I continuously landed in the high 2300 zone on my practice tests.

@shalooky: They were the same, usually around high 2200, but I took those tests about two months ago so I don’t think it’s very accurate. I’m looking to see how I could just stop myself from making those one or two little errors (since they add up) but I’m always tripped up by at least one vocab question, a math problem, and a writing error…

Try to get your hands on another real SAT (e.g. official SAT practice tests) to gauge your score right now.
