Hello, forum.
I currently have the Blue Book by Collegeboard and I've been studying it for the past 3 weeks. I'm a junior and I have no previous experience with the SAT whatsoever. I have already taken all the 10 tests administered in the book and I consistently averaged around 1900's in the first 4-5 tests. I'm not sure but my averages have been going horribly lower, around 1600's as I get at the end of the book. I heard that the FIRST 3 tests are actual tests administered. Is this true and would the scores I received in the first 3 tests be more accurate than the scores I received with the other tests?

Did you do all fully timed tests. Sit for 4 hrs in 1 sitting for all 10 tests.
Statistically, all 10 tests are the same.
Google The Ultimate SAT website for more CB tests you can download. You will see the cross-ref to Blue Blue and Online when you click on the link.

@jrohazn It is critical to take the exams under identical conditions, otherwise you will get different results. It is much harder to take the entire test in one sitting. Also, as you take the tests, do spend an adequate time understanding the reason behind the questions you missed and the ones you got right. This is critical, otherwise your score will not improve. One needs to internalize their mistakes, and if needed go back and brush up on the underlying concepts that are relevant to the problems that you missed.

LOL. If math is an issue. Go visit SAT Quantum website. Video answers for every CB math question in public domain.

I think you need to modify your approach. Go to the SAT Prep forum and read xiggi and silverturtle as a a start. Just doing practice tests is inefficient.

What is the breakdown of your score?

I don’t think the tests get harder as the book goes on…
