Do we know if posts are going to be numbered again? That feature is really needed!
@dbraud - is there documentation anywhere on what BBcode is still supported in your posts? I know quote works, but noparse doesn’t, for example.
@LasMa - what browser are you using? It is trivial on a browser to increase the font size for a particular site.
I just want to reiterate what has already been mentioned about the post numbers. I do a lot of posting in the Book Club, and post numbers are very important as we often refer back to previous comments. Imagine reading a book without any page numbers and then trying to discuss that book with a group…it’s kind of like that.
Also, I miss the ability to delete my post. Sometimes, I will cross post with another person who has said exactly the same thing. In those cases, I would make use of that small window of time available to delete my post, but now I can’t do that at all.
ML, thanks for popping in. I always forget that you’re a mod.
A suggestion for you to pass along: Could we be somehow kept informed of what’s going on, beyond a blanket “We’re looking at everything”? Like, “We understand that you want post numbers. We’re working on that and expect to have it fixed by the 10th.” Or even “We have decided not to enlarge the font size for xyz reason.” As it is, I feel like my concerns are going into a black hole. I would have more patience if I knew I was being heard.
Also, a central clearinghouse thread would be helpful. It’s hard to keep track of all the various threads where this is being discussed.
Thanks!
LasMa, I will bring your post to the administrators’ attention. Makes sense to me!
I have requested this in another thread, but not sure which ones are being seen: please, please add a Most Recent column to the sub forums (ie, “Top CC Universities” where you have a list of the Universities with forums). Right now it shows how many K of threads and replies there are (to the right of the colleges). This means nothing to me as I browse to see if there are new responses for the various colleges. If you could just add a Most Recent column, I would know whether or not there has been activity. As it is now, I have to click in each individual college to see if there are updates–really cumbersome. I love college confidential and appreciate that you are trying to improve the forums–but this one little changes could really help a lot. Thank you!
The Common App had a page this fall where they addressed the items that were a problem, and whether fixed or in progress or whatnot. That would be helpful.
Weren’t we able to see the exact time (not just date) for each post? Are you going to bring that back? It was helpful when people were reporting decision times, etc.
And you’ve heard this, but … this new display is REALLY hurting my eyes.
Currently the mobile browser version of CC is working in Safari on my iPhone but isn’t working in Chrome on my iPhone; all you can see is the text, without formatting. Anyone else have this issue?
Actually, can’t see the exact date for old posts now either – just the month and year. Makes old posts re decision announcements completely useless. By the way, is there one single thread to post these issues on? This clearly isn’t it. Maybe I should just start a separate thread on this time/date problem, though it sure seems inefficient to do that….
Smartkookie…are you looking IN each forum or on each thread?
On each thread (this one included) I’m seeing times for today feb 4, and just the date for each post prior to today.
On the main page of this section, I see the month and year only under the most recent poster…unless it is today.
Where exactly are you ONLY seeing month and year?
Also, any posts from 2013 seem to have only month and year.
I sure would appreciate post numbers in EACH thread!
Ok this is driving me NUTS. Why on EARTH is it necessary to give us two notifications when we get a message- one in the “notification” and one in the message thing?
It’s a little thing but it seems really unnecessary.
I disabled that. Now I just get emails for EVERY post I bookmarked. But it was better than popups and emails.
There has got to be a better way!
Are admins even bothered to reply to us any more?

I am not sure whether this has been asked before.
How to mark every thread in a sub-forum to already read?
Thanks.
I have to log in every single time - is there a way to save my log in information? I don’t see anything that says “remember me”
Just since yesterday I have had to log in several times. I never log out and this has just started happening to me. It’s quite annoying.
Me too. And out logging out when hitting latest posts.
