clowns are often times the funniest people to look at. duhhh, vi.

i would either choose warren or muir since the GEs are ez. warren is also closed to Earls Place (grocery store thats very convenient) and muir is close to beach. warrens dorms are nice and the res hall layout is awesome.

6th college is the newest college with the newest dorms. you'd think you would have a clue from the number. 6.

actually, sixth is the newest college so it gets the pass-on dorms. the dorms are like camp style at 6th.

btw:
Warren is great for double majors or anyone who anticipates a major change (or 3).

Sixth's dorms are the oldest, foooos

6th will be my last choice when i apply. :)

if i could i re-do my app, i'd choose to be in either Muir or Revelle and not erc

at least ERC's gorgeous and clean :)

Muir has me.

<3 Vi

Dunno, 6th college did have some hot guys I spied.

:) But yes, I say top is Muir, with Warren coming really neck-n-neck close, then Marshall, ERC, Revelle, and then Sixth would have to come last...

Muir is the best. Everything else is a joke (teehee).

6th isnt really that bad. i mean besides dorms that resemble cabins, it has pretty easy ge's, a good cafeteria, and friendly people.

MMW is a waste of time. .. we're reading about the Pygmies in the Congo. at first it seemed cool..but now...ugh . MUIR!!!

i cannot believe you people only care about the unimportant things when it comes to choosing college...its not all about the boys or the girls...or how nice something is...im sad to see that none of you seem to really care about each college's mission and that they are designed for you to pursue more interests besides that of your major...you don't seem to show much unity as a student body from UCSD and you make it into such a lame competition...after all this is an institution of higher education...if u really want nice dorms, u should have picked some private schools; and for those of u who want the hotties, maybe u should have considered schools like san diego state...instead of going on and on about whos better, u really should take the time to remind yourself that we are one body since we all chose ucsd and when it comes down to it....its not what college u belong to that defines who u are...its your intelligence and personality...so get over the fact that some dorms may have advantages over yours....every college has its pros and cons and the reason why we have six of them is because everyone has different interests and what may work for u may not work for everyone else...so do me a favor and please grow up...after all you are in college...there are bigger and more important things in life than who's got the better dorms or the better locations...get over yourselves and focus on the other things that really matter...

Chillax. It's friendly competition. :)
And no, I don't really care too much about dorms, hotties, etc, but it's just nice to say it. I, for one, definitely chose Muir because I love its independence theme, cause I'm very much pro-"learn for yourself through experience" deal. But I like to flaunt that we're 10 mins from the beach. I like to flaunt our easy GEs. I like to flaunt our easy going people. I know we have our faults (yes, dorms, it comes up again). But hey, we have our merits. So does every other college within UCSD (but that's subjective). We all understand that.

But hey, we have a week until school starts and we're bored. :)

Why do we have Un-Olympics? Friendly competition. If we really wanted to have school-competition, we would've made it some big formal woopdidoo thing and plus, if UCSD was that into sports, we maybe would've had a school football team (o_o). It's just all in the name of having a good time.

i believe that modesty is an admirable trait to have

and you guys really do have an interesting idea of a good time :)

What is the "Un-Olympics" anyway?

College competition during Welcome Week.

Student volunteers compete doing un-athletic events.

Is there a place on UCSD's site that tells about this event more?
