Im a junior, and most of the schools I will be applying to next year require 2 teacher recs, however, my ED school only requires 1, and I intend on sending one.
however, will i need to get 2 recs done in case I dont get accepted ED? if that happens, could i choose to only send one? inform me. thanks!
If the school requires two recommendations then send them two. Otherwise you will have an incomplete application. I can’t think of any time when an applicant was accepted with an incomplete application. I suggest you make arrangements for a second recommendation in case you don’t get into your ED school.
@happy1 yes, but do i get the pick of which rec i get to choose to send to my ED school? or just because i have 2 recs, i must send both?
If I remember correctly, the common app lets your choose which letters to send to each school. Or, if your guidance counselor sends them through a service like naviance, s/he can choose which or how many to send to each school.
As I recall, you invite both teachers to upload their recommendation for the Common App. Then, when working on a specific school’s application within the Common App, you check the box for which teacher’s recommendation you want to be uploaded as part of that school’s application.
I believe you can choose. You can talk to your guidance counselor about the exact process.
