Colleges That Accept Jan 2 Materials Despite Jan 1 Deadline

I personally talked to reps from the following and the said if your materials are postmarked by Januray 2nd its okay depsite their January 1st deadline:
Bowdoin
Middlebury

I'm wondering if we can add more. I called all my other colleges, but the offices are closed, so I do not know for sure. This is pertaining to sending an optional arts supplement for me... HAS ANYBODY GOTTEN A CONCLUSIVE YES/NO FROM ANY OF THESE COLLEGES?
Amherst
Colby
Cornell
Dartmouth
Tufts
Vassar
Williams

RELAX. Don't worry about the date an arts supplement is received. Those admissions offices are going to be going through an avalanche of mail when they open in Jan. As long as you submitted your application on time you'll be fine. Just so you know, overnight mail takes 2 days to reach Dartmouth, because of it's remote location.

It has been my experience that overnight mail usually arrives at Dartmouth the next business day (I send quite a bit of stuff and d almost always gets it the next day. Every now and then it will take 2 days for a large box).

What about school forms -- such as transcripts and recommendations?

Transcripts and recommendations are not due ** to the colleges on January 1/2. It is the students responsibility to ensure that ** their part of the application arrives on time.

arggghhhH!!!

this last question has been asked sooo many times

School generated papers have some cushion, they can be sent after the deadline!!!!!

ctm, it gets asked again and again each year because there are new students applying each year. No need for the !!!

Thanks menloparkmom, seriously. Yeah, all of my other stuff is including recommendations/school forms is sent. So then I should be fine if I send it in January 2nd?

You mean all you other stuff is already sent?

YES that's what I meant.

Good, then just send the supplements FED EX, not USPS and good luck!

this thread is not a good idea

Why????????

^Because it just encourages people to procrastinate more. For the OP, I don't know about any of those schools. I guess it just varies with the school and how lenient their adcoms are.

How does it encourage it? It has already happened.. It is too late to encourage it! So, any official responses??

Here

I had computer issues last night..

so far harvard, princeton, dartmouth, williams, and amherst have said it's fine.

i suggest maybe submitting i dunno a day before?

Mmm. Keen observation. Thanks.

I sent my cornell supplement half an hour late last night. Today it says they downloaded it, so I guess they're accepting it...
