I know most colleges only approve 10-20 gallons at maximum for fish, if at all...does anyone know any exceptions to that rule? I really like goldfish and they need a lot of space. :P

You may not have room for a big tank no matter what school you go to. Dorm rooms don’t have a lot of space for more than a bed, a desk, a chair, a bookcase and a closet. Plus your roommates might not appreciate the constant sound of bubbling water, or the mess in the sink when you clean out the filter. When I was at Pomona, the pet goldfish typically ended up in the pond behind Harwood Court, so take your cue from that.
