Colleges with nice people?

I know there's bound to be not-so-nice people everywhere you go, but what schools have a pretty noticeable friendly student body?

A factor I know would be religious based- but I'm not saying that has to be necessary.

I hear Harvey Mudd has a lot of nice people there.

I also hear public schools usually don't have a majority of nice people. How's Berkeley?

I'm mainly looking into colleges that have a reputable engineering program, and preferably in California. Thanks!

(Oh, and when I say nice people I don't mean strict.. people that are friendly, but also have fun. :])

Ole Miss is famous for its accepting nature

Middlebury is reallyyy friendly!

Bump.. any suggestions for cali? (Besides Harvey Mudd)

MIT people are nice...not as sure about Caltech but I'm guessing they're pretty similar

caltech has nice people...we also have mean people
but in groups we are very friendly :)

^ caltech also has guys with sixpacks...and a low proportion of females =P

yeah.. well I'm looking for schools with more around a 25%+ acceptance rate (but less than 50%).. I'm not brilliant, but I'm smart. :]

I've found UC Davis kids to be very nice on the whole. It's a pretty smart, laid-back, involved bunch. Not really sure about the other UCs...though I have to say that my friends who are at other UCs don't seem to have as many good things to say about their schools (but hey, take that at face value, I'm biased because I love Davis and it has been a really great place for me).
