My daughter is a junior and when we tour colleges she often asks what the students do on weekends because she’s looking for options besides drinking. Almost every student tour guide has given examples of social events that are sponsored by the school, whether it be a midnight dance party, shuttle to off-campus laser tag, a small concert on campus, etc. I don’t think we’re getting accurate answers about how well attended these events are though; parents of older students will tell us that “no one” goes to them.
Those of you with first-hand experience: does your college organize weekend night-time events that get a good turnout?
