colleges!!

which one is the easiest/hardest to get into?

which one has the most/least rigorous curriculum?

revelle has the harderst ge, muir or marshall is the easiest

ERC's MMW gen ed is not fun either

i'm of the opinion that ERC's GE requirements are worse than those of revelle's, made sure my brother ranked it last.

A lot of it depends on your major. Some of your college's GE requirements can overlap with your major requirements.

whadabout Electrical Engineering?

what about it?

I agree - what college is the best for YOU depends on your major! ERC isn't bad at all for me because my major is going to be something in the social sciences field.

If you're going to be an engineering major, Warren is generally the best.

Im majoring in EE and am in ERC, although, I'm switching to Biochemistry this spring. I have lot's of other Engineering friends here too. GE's are not as bad as people make it out to be. Those who say so otherwise are either lazy or don't want to do crap in college.

Don't pick your college based on your major, because theres a high probability that you will switch. Go to the UCSD website and read what each college GE's look like, if it interests you choose it.

If you're an Electrical Engineering major, or any type of Engineering major, Warren College is the way to go. As a bioengineering major at Revelle, I needed 21x Credits to graduate, whereas at Warren, it's only ~19x Credits.

Warren is home to the Jacobs School of Engineering, and where most physics and calculus classes are held.

I don't know if its a rumor or not but I heard the DOC program in Thurgood Marshall college is expanding and therefore adding on 2 more DOC classes for the year 2009. 5 quarters of GE english wouldn't be my first choice this time around.

yeah, i heard rumors about that too.. apparently they're trying to make it as long as MMW.. sux for the future Marshall students..

and in terms of number of classes for your GE, i think all colleges have 15 classes.. the only thing that's different is the type of the classes you have to take.

pick muir / warren

all colleges dont have 15 classes

just use tritonlink to look up each schools "core"
i dont know why people dont do this when they have questions

Prospective Students: Core Curricula and General Education Requirements

is that to say that you've never been guilty of such an offense? ;)

no, i havent, if youre talking to me

i cant say i have given people 100% correct answers on things the whole time either, but, Ive never asked something like 'do you only take classes with people from your college??' because you can find that info everywhere...information is so easy to find these days, if someone really wanted to go to ucsd or whatever, my first thought would be to check out the schools website to see how things work, but I guess thats just me..
