Hello,
Daughter is struggling between choosing Colorado Boulder and UT Austin. Math major at both. Would like some student opinion and parent opinions.
Did your students or you look at both of these schools and chose one over the other?
If so, why?
If you said no to one of these schools, why?
Any advice or recommendations would be greatly appreciated!
There are few places where you can compare the undergraduate programs, but the place for comparison of graduate programs is well known: https://www.usnews.com/best-graduate-schools/top-science-schools/mathematics-rankings?name=University%20of%20Texas–Austin
The undergraduate programs are usually of similar quality. Based on this, Texas-Austin is a much better place for getting degree in Math. (My kid is a Mathematician, should graduate from Berkeley and go to UCSD for his PhD, if everything works out, so I was researching math schools too some time ago).
