Congratulations @snowboardchick97! Daughter just received invitation to apply for the Harvey Scholars program. Looks like a bit of work but I think she will try it.
@saismom thank you! I received the invitation as well. Did the email provide any indication of what amount she is eligible for? Because I can’t seem to find it on mine.
From the website: Looks like it is the whole enchilada! " Harvey Scholars receive scholarships covering full tuition and fees, plus enrichment grants for academic and professional activities and supplemental funding for a semester of international study. going to attend? likely, waiting on other schools. was my number 1 but will depend on financial aid
Other Factors: applied early decision,
My D was accepted in November and received the OOS $12K scholarship - no Harvey invite though. Also accepted at Purdue and waiting on U of M (we are in Michigan). 31 ACT 3.94 UW 4.2 W, lots of AP classes, 2 time captain, MVP and all state cross country runner and 2 state championships in soccer. Environmental club and uses guitar and singing abilities for lots of fundraisers. We plan on visiting in mid-March and may talk to the soccer coach - depends on talking to current players and how hard it is to juggle engineering classes there with sports. Have family in the area so not completely OOS.
I think it’s going to be a NO for my son but we don’t know why. He submitted his application in December and there is still no decision. We called last week and his application is complete but the admission rep said it is marked “No decision”. She had a nervous laugh and kept saying “Um, yeah. No decision.” She then told us to call back in March if we still haven’t heard anything. It’s already been three months. That phone call was the only communication with a person at CSM. It would have been nice if the school had sent an acknowledgement of receipt of application or an email stating the reason for the delay.
After reading the stats of those of you who have been accepted, and comparing my son’s other admissions and merit awards, he was a competitive candidate for admission for CSM.
It is really frustrating since he had submitted his application in plenty of time to be considered for scholarships but with no action on the application he missed deadlines.
I am in the same boat as Scoutermom’s son. My application was complete as of Dec 2 (my application was completed In october but I had to wait for my ACT scores to be sent [33 composite] ) . I called and was told I would have a decision (emailed) by the end of February. Since no email has arrived, I am assuming I was not accepted. CSM seems to be quite unorganized compared to other schools. They keep applicants in the dark for the most part and I guess it’s my fault for applying so late (December is late apparently). Oh well

I don’t even want to go here tbh. I applied as a back up with the intention of getting a decision in 30 days… It has been months and I have heard nothing…
