@SexyCow don’t stop hoping! I was straight out rejected by WashU which I thought had an acceptance rate of like 17% but was accepted to schools like Middlebury and Northwestern, so I’m just thinking that that must simply mean that WashU wasn’t the school for me – their loss
Did everyone get an email from Columbia yesterday at 5:16 saying Columbia is committed to environmental responsibility; in keeping with this commitment, we will provide some admissions decisions only online, not via regular mail.
@iagoboy1 My S did.
@iagoboy1 I did too
@iagoboy1 I did too
Ok everyones examines every litle thing on CC so I am surprised no one mentioned it. Got it from "U Penn too.
@iagoboy1 - I didn’t get that. ~LL recipient
@Anonymoose3 - because you are already admitted so no need to advise you as you will get admit thru portal and snail mail
@iagoboy1 - IDK it’s just odd.
@Anonymoose3 Not that odd, especially if the decisions that will be exclusively online are rejections/waitlists.
Got the email at 5:18PM EST yesterday. And got LL, Rabi scholar and I received the book. So seems like everyone should get that email eventually
Yeah, the email is supposed to be sent to all applicants. Don’t worry, y’all.
who got their FA estimates??
I’m impressed
@GrapePocky how’d you get yours so early?
@hoggy247 i got an estimate because of a likely letter
i got rejected from Barnard today ahahahaha… I wish Columbia would just come out and give me my rejection letter instead of this torturous wait
I just got waitlisted at Barnard. Does this mean I don’t have a shot at Columbia anymore?
@GrapePocky I felt the exact same way about my estimate, haha.
That makes me wonder: should the financial aid estimates be taken with a grain of salt or is it basically reflective of what our true FA package will be like?
Thanks in advance!
@GrapePocky okay i got an LL and i cannot figure out how to find my fa estimate… where am i supposed to go? am i supposed to email the fa office?
Did anyone else here try the financial aid calculator on Columbia’s website? The FA estimate from Columbia when I got accepted was within $600 of the estimate I got on their calculator.
