“June 1: Regular Decision Admission Deadline (Regular Decision applicants are notified of their admission decisions approximately 4-6 weeks after their applications are complete.)”

Hey guys,

I am taking exams at my University in Armenia and I have got only excellent marks so far
I asked and they told me at the adm office that the best way to have them know about my current results is to have my Univ. official mail the official documents. But since I cannot do that as I will be all done with thsi semester on May 14, I just email them my results. What I am concrned about is that the Admission office might not think the exam grades I sent are legit, though I include the phone numbers of the lecturers and they can verify whenever they want.

What Should I do in this case? and is there any need to worry about that?

thnx:*

not sure what they told you , but i am in school now as well and when i track my app online, it says provisional/pending so i called the admission office just to make sure and they said that it’s because i am still attending school and if i were accepted i might need to submit my latest grades by sending them the latest transcript.

why don’t you just go ahead and send your latest transcript, or something official. then you will have nothing to worry about.

and not sure why you want to send in your grade when you are not ask to. you said before you have good grades, so if you have the same grades then i don’t think that’s going to make any big difference.

my gardes were not so good last semester and I really want them to see my improvement this semester.

Honestly, me too. But we are expecting to get our decisions soon, so I don’t know how will they affect their decision on our application. Like I said they told me that they might request our grades from this semester if I were accepted.

Anyway, today is the last day of April, and some of us here might heard back from them as early as next week starting in May.

Just keep up the good work, who knows maybe they already accepted you.

Good Luck. Hope we all get in.

Good luck everyone!

Hopefully we’ll get the decision next week.

Adam

Best of luck, everyoneee, I soooooooo muuuuch wannna that damned acceptance letteeeer :'(

hope it will be good news. good luck everyone

Hey,

I didn’t get anything yet.

I did call GS and asked them when should International applicants expect a decision.

The answer was a bit surprising. They said that they will send the decisions in couple of

weeks. It’s weird cause somebody on their Facebook page said that he already got an

answer + they said that decision time will be within 4-6 weeks…

Somebody got new information?

Adam

well then I am sure they you also read that they said they send decisions thru regular mail. I mean they keep giving different answers, so it’s hard to say. I think it’s also the fact that when did you submit a complete app. I asked some one who got their acceptance last friday, He actually applied as ED and look at him he just got the decision last week.
For me I am thinking maybe some time in the next two weeks I should hear from them.

so it has been confirmed, decisions are not ALWAYS mailed by fedex, and occasionally are sent out via regular mail?

sorry for the confusion, But I this this might only apply to international applicants.

not sure how they notify other applicants.

Domestic applicants are informed by FedEx if it is an acceptance, regular mail if rejection. Some acceptances also get phone calls.

Hey,

I am again nervous( I think I will have a heart attck by the time I hear from them) – I only now found out that when my school mailed my transcripts, they stamped and signed only the Armenian official transcripts and they neither stamped nor signed the translated copies. Now I am sooo anxious, might this have an adverse impact on my application? Smb. at the adm. office said it is ok, I am however still worried. I am thinking of calling them today.)))) Would it be too late to mail the stamped translations?

Hey,

zhaozhao- Thanks for the answer! Hope to get it next week already.

goharik19- Sorry, I don’t have an answer for your question but calling won’t do any harm
that’s for sure.

Have a good week,

Adam

Hey, Adam r u also currently in the U.S.? Do you think they might also contact us if we are accepted just like the other domestic applicants? It just so little information and it’s so close to the decision date, hoping for good news.

Hey zhaozhao, how are you?

I do not live in the US…

When I called GS they told me that they do not send an e-mail to notify students of decisions.

I am pretty sure they will send the decision to International students using regular mail and not FEDEX.

Yea, it’s little information, especially when there are so many versions and no specific date… But they wrote on their wall on facebook that the decision will be sent within 4-6 weeks which means- April 1st (deadline) -----> May 1st-15th. That’s how I understand it.

I was sure that i’ll get the decision during this week. I didn’t get anything yet, so I guess it might arrive next week.

Do you know anything else?

Thanks,
Adam

Hey, Adam I haven’t heard anything yet. I live in NYC and haven’t got anything in the mail yet. I am so anxious every time I open my mail box. But I totally agree that they will notice us by next week. On the Facebook their answer was that they will notify us WITHIN 6 WEEKS. So we will see. Good luck

I called them yesterday and they told me I can expect to hear from them in late May to early June. I have NO idea why so, anyone has any insights about this? I mean were we not supposed to get the decisions no later than late May? Might it be cause some of my documents arrived a little bit late?
thnx!

well did you ask specifically about your application decision, or for all the international students? When I asked them and I believe I said this many times, they told me that all the international student will be notified with 6 weeks by submitting a complete application. Or simply, they might just need more time, I am sure they got tons of application not only from international students as well as domestic students. Well if you did submit everything after April 1st then you might have to wait longer. Just see when they did have the complete application materials from you, then count the date.

In my case, I did submit everything on April 1st. Although there’s a misunderstanding when it came to enter my doc (transcripts diploma) apparently there is a space btw my first name and some of my doc don’t have the space but anyway I am glad I was there and cleared this issue right away and made sure that they have everything they needed , so everything wasn’t cleared until April 7th.

Maybe they just haven’t reach a decision yet, Don’t worry goharik19.
Even they told you it might get to you late may or early july, you still might get a decision earlier than that , just keep up the good work and hope for the best.

AGAIN EVERYONE GOOD LUCK
