If yes, which is better for applied mathematics - CC or SEAS?

You are admitted to only SEAS or college. If you are already admitted, then you will need to request a transfer.

Applied mathematics major is only SEAS.

[Mathematics | Columbia College](<a href=“Columbia College Bulletin < Columbia College | Columbia University”>Columbia College Bulletin < Columbia College | Columbia University) - applied mathematics is offered in Columbia College as per this link.

Can some one pls confirm that Applied Math is available via columbia college or is it only offered in SEAS?

Looks like there are Applied Math majors in both the College and SEAS. They share a good deal of classes, but they’re not the same by any means. For one thing, the College’s Applied Math major doesn’t seem to require the physics/chem background that the SEAS Applied Math major demands.

College: [Mathematics | Columbia College](<a href=“Columbia College Bulletin < Columbia College | Columbia University”>Columbia College Bulletin < Columbia College | Columbia University)
SEAS: [Undergraduate Degree Tracks | Bulletin | Columbia Engineering](Undergraduate Degree Tracks | Bulletin | Columbia Engineering)

Yep, you can actually major in Computer Science in CC as well.

Sorry for the misinformation. Did not know about the CC major. That is so strange…
