Hello, is it possible to go to GS and work on your MBA at the same time?
Study Within Columbia's Graduate and Professional Schools | General Studies

Or has anyone heard of someone finishing their MBA sooner because they took graduate courses? Also, on their website GS explains that these are highly competitive programs, how hard is it to exactly get a nomination for one of these programs?

I don’t know about the MBA program. But, it is possible to begin law school, by taking a handful of courses at Columbia Law School, during your senior year. I don’t remember the exact numbers. But, I think that they took something like one, maybe two students last year.

The GS/MBA program is incredibly hard to get into. As in, I think many years 0 students manage to do it.

There’s a popular 5 year program with SIPA (School of International and Public Affairs) that a chunk of GSers do every year. I also know some of the GSAS (Graduate School of Arts & Sciences) departments do 5th year masters, but that depends mostly on the department.

Thank you hellojan and campaigner! Wish it wasn’t so hard to get in, but it makes sense. I’m guessing one must have an outstanding resume before being admitted to GS to get into the GS/MBA program.
