Columbia School Of General Studies

I have a question for you regarding GS since you went through the whole process. Did you take the exam? What was the nature of the essay? Was there an assigned topic to write about? Overall, did you find the exam to be harder than the SAT verbal section? Thanks for your help.

Similar to the SAT verbal section but easier. I can't remember the essay topic but it was some BS question. Don't worry about the GSAE. Whoever finds the GSAE challenging should seriously consider a trade school instead of CU.

GS Banding, are you a current student at GS?

Yes.

To answer your pm question, I suppose you can prep for it by taking a few practice tests of the SAT/ACT verbal section. The test is so simple though, it's not even worth "studying" for.

Search for 'GSAE' on this forum and you'll find more info.

i greatly appreciate you taking your time to answer my question fully.

I'm surprised there's hardly anyone else who is a GS student here.

did anyone apply to GS to attend this fall??

I applied for Early Decision Fall 07 and was accepted. Super excited.

awesome.. i got my ass rejected. how awesome is that *? the gsae was a piece of *......o well...i'm going to pursue a career as a pornstar...
