Columbia SciencesPo. Dual Degree Fall 2014

I am an international student and I got accepted to Le Harve as well. However, I am still waiting for financial aid, which is the factor that will decide whether I would enroll in the program or not.

Okay, so I’ve created a group. Here’s the url: https://www..com/groups/436848943128667/

There’s a Reims group going around already… 5 of us in there! It’d be interesting to know the size of the class this year haha

@coffeefloat I’m from Singapore! It’s UChicago over Columbia for me, but the idea of two years in France just makes it so much harder to choose. But you’re right, looks like I have quite some thinking to do over the next few weeks – not that I’m complaining!

Hi ! I was accepted to the Reims campus last Tuesday, and I’m definitely going to attend. Is there a FB group for Reims students yet ? I tried the link above but it’s not going through for me.

Congratulations to everyone, and can’t wait to meet you all !

@wordsmiff Singapore! That’s awesome - I’m from korea but I’m residing in the Middle East. One thing’s for sure though - we’d love to have you in Le Havre and in New York!

@mil115, try replacing the star signs with “facebook” so that the url is complete.
And as for everyone else, let’s join the overall class of 2018 group for the program created by @polythenepam12 so that even though we’re going off to different campuses, we’re still in touch with each other since we’re such a small entering class, which means we’re bound to meet each other at least in New York!

As soon as I get home (and get off my school web filter), I’ll post the link to the group ! It says Reims, but what the hell, lets get everyone in. SO. MUCH. EXCITEMENT.
I’ll be there on April 12th, so I hope to meet everyone:)

<a href=“Log into Facebook | Facebook”>Log into Facebook | Facebook; This is the one we created, if we want to have a universal group and a campus specific group, we can do that as well. Feel free to join regardless off campus though:)

https://www.facebook.com/groups/255397317965846?ref=bookmark

Okay, Idk how the stars are getting in there…. any ideas on how to remove?

I think if people just remember to type ‘facebook.com’ where the stars are, we should be good to go!

wow CC turned face-thing-you-can-read dot com into stars. I think we’ve found the problem :P

“facebook”

I just wanted to post my interview experience here because I definitely relied pretty heavily on the descriptions provided on past threads to help me prepare. I’m so grateful to CC and older applicants for sharing their experiences so I’m gonna try to pay it forward.

My interview lasted exactly one half hour, and I chose to use Skype. There were two men who conducted my interview, one representing Sciences Po and one representing Columbia, and for twenty minutes they asked me a mix of questions. That is to say, some were related to my resume/experience in high school (the kinds of questions you might be asked in any other american college admissions interview) while others were opinion-based analysis-type questions related to the regional focus of the Sciences Po campus to which I applied. So for example, since I applied to Menton (Middle East/Mediterranean focus), I was asked some fairly broad questions about current events in that area of the world. No specifics, pretty general, and not strictly factual.

During the final ten minutes, I asked them questions (I think it reflects pretty well if you have several questions/ if the questions are not the kind that can be answered easily by a quick Google search).

Overall, I think it was a pretty standard interview experience. It was formal (don’t be expecting some of the incredibly casual chats you might have with alumni interviewers at other universities) but comfortable; I definitely didn’t feel like I was being interrogated or anything.

Good luck to next year’s applicants!!!

After arriving here for a little over a month, it’s definitely worth considering to anyone still on the edge! Good luck to all the new applicants:)

LOLOLOL this school.

Elaborate? @SaraSmith1256‌

Don’t worry about it bro

@SaraSmith1256‌ Since you are attending the program, it would helpful for the potential applicants if you could provide a little more detail about what you mean. You were in their shoes last year trying to determine if this was the right program for you.
