I didn’t get an interview and I currently hate my life and myself :(( :(( :(( :(( :(( :((
@SickofApps I recently had my interview and it was very specific. The interviewer from Sciences Po was asking me in depth questions about the ethnic tensions of the Middle East. I would give myself a 7/10 on my ability to respond to those questions, but it’s not my area of expertise. I feel like it could have gone better, but the questions about current events were pretty intense. He also asked me to speak in French, which was pretty bad. How much do the interviews count in the admissions decision?
@lbsblogs I had a similar experience. The interview was probably the most intense interview experience I have had in any application process so far, and though I was expecting this to a degree, there were still some parts I wish had gone better. its possible they intentionally upped the difficulty of the interview this year, they told me that last year they interviewed ~100 and accepted ~70, and this year will accept the same amount but interviewed 140 w/ the increase in amount of apps this year. I am pretty sure the interview is considered an important piece of application, but also keep in mind that they know most they interview have not had this kind of interview before and it was intentionally a challenging interview. In any case I am still happy to have been selected for an interview, that was an accomplishment in itself regardless of the final decision
Those numbers terrify me. This program is my first choice, and I just can’t imagine what will happen in 3 weeks’ time.
