<p>I'm applying as a transfer student to Columbia and had a question about the transfer supplement.</p>
<p>On the supplement, it states that the Short Answer should be 250 words (1 Page).</p>

<li>If my essay is over 250 words, but under 1 page can I still submit it?</li>

<p>it can be between 470-610 words depending if I cut out the attraction/get straight to the point.</p>

<p>420 words is perfectly fine… dont worry…they just state the average no. of words which is 500…
You can be slightly above or below it.</p>
