How many percent of the students that send there applications to Big Ibanks in New York actually end up landing a Ibank job from Columbia vs Rutgers with theses stats?

1) Columbia Unversity
GPA 3.57
Economics Major(non business School)

VS.

2) Rutgers-School of Business- Honors College
3.79 GPA
Double major Accouning/Finance
( Ibanks recruits at multiple of Rutger's Career days)

I have no personal experience but I believe they both have a equally low chance. Any others opinions?

I know of several columbia '06 ugs who landed jobs with big4 firms with gpas in the 3.5 range. I know someone with a 3.2 in fact who landed a very lucrative job with a top ibank without athletics hooks. You have to understand how an i-banking recruiting works. Once you pass the first wave, hiring is done nearly 100% on character--whether or not the interviewers can see themselves enjoying having you as a co-worker. I-banking is a social job first and foremost. I don't know about Rutgers, but I do think it would be much more difficult getting hired by a big4 i-bank coming from a non-top15 school because you have to prove that you are as polished and as well-connected as someone from a top15 school. It sounds completely elitist, but you have to understand that I-banking is an extremely elitist field.
