columbia's decisions

have you guys checked out the columbia board? it's such a mixed crowd over there. i feel more anxious just skimming over their reactions.

Yeah, it is a little nervewracking. It's just surreal to think that we'll be in the same position in less than a week.

What is that countdown site where it tells you how much time you have left?

Yes, and it's making me glad that Princeton mails their letters out. It will be a good thing not to have everyone on an emotional high/low all at once...we can just take each person's decision as it comes.

Good luck, Yalies...I know you'll be nervously clicking away on the admissions site in a few days, so here's to some EA acceptances!

Don't forget to check out the Dartmouth forum too.

This is if it comes out around 6 pm on the 15th, which a lot of people seem to expect:

Does anyone else feel worse and worse about our prospects as you look at the Columbia decisions? I mean, some really talented people on that board got deferred or rejected, and it just underscores the fact that this process is so haphazard. Since, Columbia is ED, you'd think more people would be accepted than for Yale EA....so I'm getting worried...sigh....but I'm still hanging in there! lol. Good luck you guys

Beethoven, I think its a good lesson in not getting your hopes up because nothing is certain. That's what I've been taking away from it.

yea i'm definitely getting nervous too... the same's going on in the dartmouth board as well.

Wow. That board is WAY depressing. Unfortunately, thats what it will probably look like (and maybe even worse) for us. Who's with me on the idea that community college isn't so bad after all! :)

I'm not quite at the "community college" point yet, but UVa sure looks good...if I can get in, that is....

i'm applying there--are you in-state too?

wow. I think I want to barf or have a seizure or something. I only have one history final to take, but it's a big one, and it's sooooo hard to concentrate on anything since all I can think about is how many days left. This waiting is torture!

Oh god. Reading the Columbia decisions is nerve-wracking. One of my best friends applied ED, and she hasn't called or anything...I hope things work out.

MY BEST FRIEND GOT INTO COLUMBIA!!!!!!

mfisch, good luck :) , i know how it feels

Columbia was carnage :(

when they dont call usually its bad....

at least thats the way its been with my friends....i dont have a friend who gets into college and then doesnt call

Columbia ED decisions seemed like a slaughterfest. It's really depressing to see so many qualified, enthusiastic applicants not get accepted. Sadly, Yale decisions will probably be worse. Good luck everyone.

I don't see how it is such a horrible slaughter. Didn't what was expected to happen, happen?

I was walking home from the library when I found out one of my best friends got in and I started yelling and jumping on the sidewalk. I'm living vicariously through him, I m so happy for him.

And then I come here and it's like, crap, less than a week away
