Combining Comp Sci and Business/Management

Hello,
Looking for top tier colleges that offer a major which combines computer science with business/management/entrepreneurship. Love computer science and am very strong in programming/tech, but not super “mathy”. Have strong academic and extracurricular record in comp sci. . I don’t think that I want to be an engineer, per se, but would instead love to eventually focus on management in a tech/gaming/media company. More of a creative bent with strong business skills who loves programming and tech trends. i’m aware of the Penn program, but wondering if there were similar programs out there that I might consider? Thanks so much!

U of MN has a strong undergrad management information systems major.

Lehigh and Northeastern offer two very good programs:

Look for an MIS major as opposed to comp sci.

I think you are better off looking for a business School, and majoring in IT, Computer systems, or whatever term they use.

Waterloo has a really good Biz/CS program, but it is one of the last places you want to got to if you don’t like Math.

The suggestion above of Northeastern sounds good, but wouldn’t it still have pretty challenging math?

@57special The Northeastern CS/Business combined degree only requires Calculus 1, the extra math (still only Calc 2, Linear, and Stats for straight CS) is cut for business courses.

Lehigh has 4 math courses, the exact same ones that would be found in the straight CS degree at Northeastern, so still never going above Calc 2 in difficulty.

@PengsPhils appreciate your input, as always. S2 is a freshman HS’er who writes code as a hobby, and is pretty determined to go into CS. He likes, and is good at Math, but we’ll see how that progresses as he gets closer to College age.
S1 is in a good business school. There is a greater emphasis than ever on grads being tech savvy, at the very least.

Berkeley has their MET program, one of the world’s top engineering/business programs. You can choose the EECS and Business track. It is incredibly difficult to get into, harder than getting into Harvard and Stanford, and you can only get in out of HS.
