Come chance a kid with a "risky" profile

I'm trying to construct a balanced list (reach/match/safety) of schools. My academic performance, however, wasn't great throughout all of high school, but I'll just let the numbers do the talking...

Freshman year: 3.14
Sophomore year: 3.53
Junior year: 3.95
Cumulative: 3.54

Courseload difficulty increased each year, would be considered most difficult by junior year.

SAT: 2210 (1470 CR/M)
SATII: 790 MathII, taking Lit in Oct

AP:
Calc AB - 5
Macro - 5
Lang/Comp - 4

Senior Schedule:
Calc BC
Physics B
Lit
Psych
Micro

Asian male from NJ, competitive public school.

Leadership in a couple of clubs, but my EC's are nothing spectacular. However, they aren't lacking either.

So here's the list of schools:
Emory
NYU
UVA
Boston College
UMich (3.7 UMich GPA)
UNC
Penn State
Rutgers

tenafly?

Without a general idea of what your ECs actually are and what leadership roles/awards you received, it’s difficult to actually chance you for a top 30 school.

your gpa might hurt a chance at some schools, though I think the rising trend will be beneficial to your favor. You’re talking about the rutgers in nj right? (idk if there are rutgers outside of nj but whatever XD) you’re probably in there, UNC I heard is very difficult OOS, and I don’t know about the others.

at least i bumped the thread up :)

although ur GPA needs some work, i can’t see how the profile is risky. Again we need to know more about ur EC and the exact ‘leadership’ positions to provide useful feedback

Great upward trend and scores. List looks appropriate.

the trend looks good. good thing its not the opposite.

ECs…
